JayCee notes that the institution that he works for, a university, allows one to run a business on the side. My employer would most definitely not allow it. I think that even if I were to run a business in my spare time (i.e. outside working hours) that is somehow related to the work that I normally do, this would still not be allowed.
So now I am wondering, if you run your business from campus how do you bill the hours? Does the university get some fee/tax from you?

How are we going to go about it? Hmm,.. ?
I think a first step is to gauge the interest in this idea amongst our friends, aquaintances and collagues and get them interested enough to at least take part in the discussion.
Next we should duscuss and work out the idea into a viable concept. This is in my opinion the most fun part. Personally I’d like to se something non-traditional emerge.
Then the concept need to be worked out into a palatable “business plan” for prospective clients or financiers.
